Introduction & History
As a franchise, we are excited to serve Washtenaw County. Our family has been invested in the county since we relocated to Southeast Michigan in 2013. Working and living in Saline, Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, and the surrounding area, we have developed relationships and memories with many in the county as we’ve planted our roots here. We invested in this business to build a legacy for our family; to create a means to give back to the community in a more substantial way; and to support what we see as one of the most critical industries in the country to help develop and sustain – agriculture. Living in a farming community and becoming familiar with the needs and struggles of farmers has felt like a kismet match in partnering with AcuSpray, and we are excited for the impact we can have on the community through the utilization of precision drone application.
Flight Director Spotlight
As Franchise Owner and Flight Director, Matt brings passion and a strong work ethic to the forefront of everything he does. As a natural problem solver and troubleshooter, there is no hurdle placed in front of him that Matt doesn’t find his way through. Prior to AcuSpray, Matt spent over 20 years as an automotive and marine mechanic, in addition to restoring classic wood motorboats, such as Chris-Crafts. A natural at working with his hands, with a keen eye for precision and attention to detail, Matt is thorough in everything that he does and he does not stop until the job is done and done well.
Matt has invested significant time and energy in training and aligning with the highest standards required for proficiency and compliance in the drone operation and agricultural application fields. Matt has completed over 40hrs of specialized training through FlightLine University.

This provides Matt with the necessary regulatory relief to operate under specific federal regulations, allowing for innovative applications in drone operations.
Agricultural Aircraft Operator Certificate under 14 CFR part 137
Certifies that Matt is authorized to conduct commercial agricultural aircraft operations, which includes dispensing any liquid or solid material for an agricultural purpose.
FAA 14 CFR part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
This certification is essential for legally operating drones for commercial use in the U.S., ensuring Matt adheres to all safety and operational regulations.
Part 61 Medical Certificate
Demonstrates that Matt meets the health and fitness requirements to safely operate aircraft, a prerequisite for responsible drone operation.
National Core Pesticide License and Aerial Pesticide Applicator License
These licenses certify that Matt is trained and qualified to handle and apply pesticides safely and effectively from drones, which is crucial for operations in agriculture.
State of Michigan Supplemental Field Crop Endorsement
This endorsement further validates Matt’s expertise and authorization to handle specific agricultural needs pertinent to the local crops and practices.
